Canelo and John Ryder face-off

Ahead of their undisputed Super Middleweight contest on Saturday, Canelo and Ryder came face to face in Guadalajara at the final press conference. Proceedings were short, respectful and efficient. Eddie Hearn introduced the engagement with kind words for the city of Guadalajara and of course both fighters. The respective camps gave similar offerings before the two gladiators came together to lock eyes. John Ryder looked particularly intense and focussed showing Canelo that he is here on merit as his WBO mandatory. Canelo in his usual stoic glare gazed back at the Londoner giving nothing away. Ryder broke his intensity for a brief moment with a gulp.
