About the WBO (World Boxing Organisation)

The World Boxing Organisation was formed in 1988 and is internationally recognised as one of the four main boxing governing bodies. It is headquartered in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The president of the WBO is Francisco Varcarcel. The WBO has had many long-reigning world champions such as Wladimir Klitschko, Johnny Nelson and Chris Eubank Snr. The WBO title has a distinct burgundy colour and the governing body claims to stand for dignity, democracy and honesty.
