Deontay Wilder Documentary

Deontay Wilder Documentary – Behind the scenes in Alabama

This Deontay Wilder documentary has been filmed behind the scenes in Alabama as he prepares to put his WBC World Heavyweight title on the line against former undisputed heavyweight king, Tyson Fury. Hard to believe this heavyweight battle was only signed 2 months ago when it seems the potential Wilder vs Joshua bout had been in negotiations for years. Whether that match up happens or not will remain to be seen. Before that we have a feast of a fight between Wilder and Fury this coming Saturday in Los Angeles. This Deontay Wilder documentary will take you behind the scenes of his camp and give you a unique insight into his character, what he thinks of Tyson Fury and how he is preparing diligently for his toughest test to date.

Deontay Wilder’s career to date

Wilder doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Some would say because of the calibre of opponent he has faced. Eddie Hearn often quotes how Joshua was fighting in front of 80,000 people at Wembley to unify the heavyweight division. Whilst after the same number of fights, Deontay Wilder was fighting Jason Gavern. A fair criticism you can argue but on the other hand you can only fight what is put in front of you. In Wilder’s defence, the heavyweight division has only come alive in the latter quarter of his career. No matter what you think of Wilder one thing is for sure, he bangs.

Deontay Wilder is heavy handed

Deontay Wilder has had 40 bouts with a 100% record, 39 of those wins coming by way of knockout. His power is devastating and only Bermaine Stiverne has seen the final bell whilst fighting him. That was for their first encounter at least. In the rematch Wilder dispatched of Stiverne in emphatic fashion, arguably one of the finishes of the year. Wilder showcased a nasty streak in that fight and furthermore proving that in the time since their first fight, he had moved up in class and was a different animal.
